Job summary

Central Supply Company, a CRH Company, is seeking a Plant Operator/Supervisor in West Virginia. The role ensures safe, efficient batch plant operation, oversees staff, inventory, and dispatch, and maintains safety, environmental, and quality standards.

You will lead daily plant activities, train personnel, and coordinate production to meet customer specs while maintaining housekeeping and compliance. CDL/ACI preferences apply, with strong leadership and communication skills essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete production, aggregate operations, manufacturing, construction, or related industry preferred.
• Previous supervisory, lead, or management experience preferred.
• CDL preferred.
• ACI certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and plant operating systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot batching equipment to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Supervise daily plant activities and coordinate workflow to meet production and customer service goals.
• Lead and support plant employees, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Produce concrete products that meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and oversee preventive maintenance and housekeeping activities.
• Manage raw material inventories and coordinate material deliveries to maintain production requirements.
• Assist with dispatch operations and delivery scheduling to ensure efficient customer service.
• Monitor production efficiency and implement improvements to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
• Complete and review daily production reports, inventory records, administrative paperwork, and operational documentation.
• Investigate and address operational issues, equipment concerns, and customer service challenges as needed.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
