Job summary

American Rock Products, a CRH company, is seeking a concrete mixer truck driver to deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites around Hermiston and nearby areas. You will support customers and work with a team to ensure on-time, high-quality service.

We provide training for new entrants, a safety-first culture, and opportunities for advancement. This full-time, on-site role offers overtime potential and benefits with a respected national company.

Qualifications

• Current Class A or B CDL with self-certification of non-excepted interstate and current DOT medical card.
• Ability to operate manual transmission.
• Safety minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance and punctuality.
• Must pass pre-employment physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
• Demonstrates the ability to work overtime and weekends/holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites, safely and efficiently, obeying applicable laws and dispatch instructions.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operational order and report maintenance or repair issues.
• May add materials (fiber, color or other additives) to concrete mix.
• Ensure quality of product delivered.
• Maintain communication with Dispatcher regarding deliveries and check delivery tickets.
• Rinse out drum and chutes, and dump slurry as required by procedures.
• Collect money from customers and record transactions on customer receipt.
• Inform customers of new products or services and resolve service questions.
• Record sales and delivery information; maintain operator logs and forms according to policy.
