Commercial Metals Company is seeking candidates for a role focused on supporting the production of precast concrete products in Oxford, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will assist with setup, pouring, and finishing concrete while ensuring safety and organizational standards are met.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, and kneeling) for extended periods.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Availability for overtime, including weekends as needed.
• Basic math and reading skills for measurements and simple drawings.
• Manufacturing, construction, or concrete experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support production of precast concrete products from setup through shipment.
• Place reinforcing materials (rebar, wire mesh, embeds) per specifications.
• Assist with pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete.
• Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, marking/stenciling).
• Keep work area clean and organized.

What You'll Do

• Support production of precast concrete products from setup through shipment
• Set up and prepare molds/forms (clean, assemble, apply release agents)
• Place reinforcing materials (rebar, wire mesh, embeds) per specifications
• Assist with pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete
• Support curing process and strip finished products from molds
• Perform basic finishing (patching, smoothing, marking/stenciling)
• Cut and tie wire/rebar as needed for reinforcement
• Move and stage materials and finished products for curing or shipment
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
