Job summary

Canyon Contracting is seeking a Laborer to perform general physical duties at construction sites in Wyomissing, PA. You will assist Carpenters and Skilled Laborers, prep and clean job sites, and help move materials while maintaining safety standards.

The role emphasizes following directions, reading safety labels, and communicating with team members to ensure smooth operations on site.

Qualifications

Proven ability to follow directions.
Must be able to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
Experience displaying attention to detail and being always alert to ensure safety.
Proven ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
High school diploma is an asset, previous concrete industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist the Carpenters and the Skilled Laborers at the site as directed.
Performs various physical duties as assigned.
Maintain all safety standards.
Handle job site material. Move, secure, load or unload materials as directed.
Move items from place to place, according to direction from the Foreman or Job Superintendent.
Place concrete at the jobsite for ftgs, slabs, decks, piers, and small walls using shovels, rakes, or wheelbarrows.
Grade stone and subgrade stone as needed.
Unroll and roll up blankets used at the job site.
Strip forms as directed.
Cleanup job site, stacking/banding materials and trash and removal of debris.
Build and develop trusting relationships with current customers and seek to identify opportunities to grow our customer base and build positive relationships.
