Job summary

Rusin Concrete in Colorado Springs is seeking an experienced laborer to join our dedicated team. You will work outdoors on concrete foundations, set forms, and help finish surfaces with hand tools.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and adherence to Rusin’s core values in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate has at least one year of general construction experience, can use common hand tools, and communicates well with coworkers and the public.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year general construction experience.
• Ability to use all types of hand tools.
• Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the public.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Rusin's Core Values and safety standards.
• Set forms to the desired pitch and depth and align them.
• Check forms for proper construction and stability.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete with rake, shovel, trowel, screed, and float.
• Monitor curing conditions affected by weather throughout the process.
• Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools and jointers.
• Clean surfaces and apply hardening/sealing compounds as needed.
