Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group in Rialto, CA seeks a Production Associate to perform precast concrete manufacturing tasks under supervision. You will work with a team to produce pipes and box culverts safely and efficiently.

The role requires experience in outdoor/construction settings, ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and willingness to overtime with occasional weekend work; full-time schedule includes early start times.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a construction or outside environment is highly preferred.
• 1-2 years manufacturing precast concrete experience preferred.
• Work environment may be loud and involve fumes or airborne particles.

Responsibilities

• Removes steel rings from concrete pipe.
• Assist with concrete finishing, repairs, and patches for pipes and related products in the yard.
• Lifts and carries materials using appropriate equipment.
• Maintains neat, orderly work areas; keeps tools and workspace clean.
• Finish products to a quality standard and report issues to management.
• Perform other duties to support pipe and box culvert production.

Overview:

Responsible for performing all functions necessary to produce precast concrete products efficiently and safely under supervision. Work in a team environment with a positive attitude to accomplish the required tasks, and the ability to adapt to change.

Essential Functions:

• Removes Steel Rings from concrete pipe
• Assist with responsibilities such as concrete finishing, repairs and patches concrete pipes, and other related products in the yard.
• Lifts and carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
• Maintains neat and orderly work areas.
• Ensuring tools and work areas are clean during the day and at the end of each shift.
• Finish product in a quality manner free of cracks and imperfections. Reports any problems/concerns or discrepancies to management.
• Other general duties as required to assist with production of pipes and box culverts.

Required Education and experience:

• Experience working in a construction or outside environment is highly preferred.
• 1-2 Years- Manufacturing Precast Concrete (Preferred)
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 3:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. OT will be required as needed. This position regularly requires weekend work.
