Compensation: $16.79 to hire, $18.19 after 30 days, $19.59 after 60 days, $20.99 after 90 days.

Thompson Pipe Group is a privately held family business of engineers, contractors, and manufacturers based in Rialto, California. We are the largest and most diverse drainage, sanitary, pressure and trench‑less pipe provider, with manufacturing locations across the country and serving not just the US but all of North America.

Essential Job Functions

• Use hand tools such as hammer, sledgehammer, wrench, and pliers to accomplish daily tasks.
• Lifts and carries materials and tools throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
• Always maintain neat and orderly work areas.
• Complete final finish on poured concrete product, using power tools and hand tools.
• Assist with the installation of plates, rebar, wire, insulation, lifters, reveals, and related components.
• Tape and cut strand, clean Burks, bag blackouts, finish exposed sides.
• Patch concrete pipes by blending structural concrete and working with various raw materials.
• Finish product in an attractive manner free of cracks and imperfections.
• Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, patch holes with fresh concrete; may be required to use pressure washer and/or sandblasting equipment.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and safety.
• Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures; bring problems to the attention of Safety Team or Supervisor.
• Report any problems or discrepancies.

Education and Experience

• Must be able to follow instructions both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• 3–6 months experience in construction (preferred).
• 3–6 months experience in landscaping (preferred).
• 3–6 months experience in manufacturing precast concrete (preferred).
• Teamwork environment.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Standing, walking, and stooping throughout the shift.
• Ability to keep up with manufacturing pace.
• Able to work with dust and outdoor environmental conditions such as rain and wind.
• Use earplugs and other PPE such as hard hat, steel‑toe boots, gloves, and safety glasses as required.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

Requirements

• Pass drug test and physical.
• Transition to UNION after 90 days of employment.

Work Environment

• The work environment is not climate controlled and is subject to outdoor weather.
• Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
