Job summary

Barker Concrete LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a concrete laborer for full-time, in-person work. No prior concrete experience is required, as we provide on-the-job training and the tools you need to learn.

You will work with the crew to prepare sites, move materials, lift and transport concrete, and maintain safe, organized work areas while treating customers and coworkers with respect. We value reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

• Dependable with good punctuality and attendance.
• Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing.

No concrete experience is required. We'll provide on-the-job training and the tools you need to learn.

What You'll Do

• Show up on time, ready to work, and prepared to follow the crew’s direction.

• Help prepare job sites and keep work areas organized and safe.

• Shovel, use a come-along, and move concrete and materials as directed.

• Push wheelbarrows and help transport concrete, tools, and supplies.

• Lift and carry heavy objects safely, with help or equipment when needed.

• Support the crew with other hands-on tasks as the work requires.

• Treat customers, coworkers, and their property with care and respect.

• Speak up when you have a question, notice a problem, or need help.

What We're Looking For

• A dependable person who takes punctuality and attendance seriously.

• Willingness to learn, work hard, and take direction.

• A respectful, honest attitude and pride in doing a job well.

• Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing.

• Construction experience is not required. We welcome people who are new to the industry.
