Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. (Jorgensen) is a leader in maintenance management.

Position Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Concrete Laborer to travel to and perform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Adkins, Texas area during day shift and occasionally night shift. The role includes highway concrete repair/maintenance tasks and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations as well as company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

• Concrete forming, finishing, and repair experience – minimum 2 years.
• Experience using shovels, weed‑trimming machinery, brooms, and various small hand tools.
• Operator experience with wheel loaders, skid steers, etc.

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience.
• Experience operating air compressors.
• Guardrail and sign installation experience.
• Traffic‑control (MOT) certifications or courses.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish read/write) preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean driving record.
• Must pass criminal background check and substance/drug testing.
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
• Maintain proper safety equipment for each job.
• Ability to use smartphone and relevant applications.
• Adaptability to changing work schedules and environmental conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools.

Schedule

Work rotating day or night shift. Day shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; night shift: 6:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m., or until concrete is cured. Must work during adverse weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.

Compensation & Benefits

Day‑shift starting rate: $17.00 / hr (no prior highway maintenance experience); guardrail experience starting rate: $19.50 / hr.
