Job summary

ECS Limited in Raleigh, NC is looking for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Concrete Laboratory Technician. No experience is required; you will receive paid training and support for certifications.

You will work under supervision to learn a variety of concrete lab testing tasks and safety procedures. As you gain experience, the company offers growth opportunities, training, and certification pathways in ASTM standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on construction materials under supervision.
• Maintain laboratory organization and safety in compliance with QA/QC and accreditation standards.
• Conduct routine concrete testing including labeling, curing, temperature logs, and sample handling.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and document results accurately.

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our Raleigh team. We offer opportunities for growth in this role with additional incentives as you earn your certifications. No prior experience is needed, as you’ll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks in our concrete laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Activities: Perform specific tasks associated with conducting laboratory testing on construction materials for various projects under the supervision of senior technicians and other lab staff.
• Laboratory Safety and Compliance: Conduct routine laboratory tests using various methodologies and testing equipment following industry standards and compliance; Assist with tasks to maintain laboratory organization and cleanliness in compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) initiatives to maintain accreditation compliance; Tasks may include calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment following the manufacturer’s schedule and records; Notify supervisor of broken or missing equipment as needed.
• Concrete Testing: Conduct routine laboratory tests for concrete including labeling and setting samples for curing, monitoring temperature logs, and breaking of samples.
• Data Collection: Perform calculations and data reduction based on test results; Demonstrate competency of testing methods by documenting results accurately; May perform administrative duties as requested.
