NEBCO, Inc. is seeking high performing interns enrolled in Concrete Industry Management programs to join our team in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Interns will learn and perform tasks in quality control, production, distribution, and related operations for concrete plant facilities under supervision. Qualifications

• College student actively enrolled in a Concrete Industry Management or related program.
• Must be able to read and understand operations manuals, instructions, safety rules, etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Develops and understands good overall technical knowledge of plant operations, safety, training, environmental compliance, equipment, and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Learn and work in Ready Mixed Concrete Company and Concrete Industries departments: production, distribution, sales, and operations.
• Provide general labor support in plant and yard; assist with batching duties; observe and help load concrete into trucks; assist with sales support, dispatch, and service.
• Communicate with management, other employees, customers, and vendors; coordinate production status between customer and drafting/engineering/production personnel.
• Learn and perform QA/QC functions; assist with validation of tests, inspections, production methods and material qualifications; document data.
