Doggett Concrete, Inc. is seeking a dependable Concrete Formwork Fabricator / Shop Technician to join our Charlotte, NC team. The role focuses on building wall forms in the shop, reading drawings, and preparing forms for concrete projects.

You will also support general shop operations, organize materials, and help keep the shop safe and efficient. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable with hand and power tools, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, concrete formwork, fabrication, or related trade preferred.
• Ability to read measurements and project drawings
• Comfort with using common hand and power tools
• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
• Able to perform physical work including lifting/moving materials
• Dependable, punctual, able to work independently or in a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, modify, and prepare wall forms for concrete projects
• Read measurements, drawings, layouts, and instructions to fabricate forms
• Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and assemble materials using hand/power tools
• Inspect forms for quality/accuracy before shipment to site
• Repair and maintain reusable formwork
• Organize and prepare materials and equipment for projects
• Load/unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist with inventory and material handling
• Keep shop clean, organized, and safe
• Perform other shop duties as needed

Description

We are looking for a dependable, hands‑on Concrete Formwork Fabricator / Shop Technician to join our team full‑time. This position will work primarily in our shop building and preparing wall forms used for concrete construction projects.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and construction materials, and able to accurately build forms according to project requirements. When not working on formwork, this person will assist with general shop operations, including organizing materials, preparing equipment, loading and unloading, and helping keep the shop clean and efficient.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, modify, and prepare wall forms for concrete construction projects
• Read measurements, drawings, layouts, and/or instructions to accurately fabricate forms
• Measure, cut, drill, fasten, and assemble materials using hand and power tools
• Inspect forms and materials for quality and accuracy before they are sent to the jobsite
• Repair and maintain reusable formwork as needed
• Organize and prepare materials and equipment for upcoming projects
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Assist with inventory and general material handling
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop
• Perform other shop-related duties as needed

Requirements
