Job summary

Forcepersonnelok is seeking an experienced concrete form carpenter to build, install, brace, and strip forms for commercial and industrial pours. This full-time role requires basic carpentry, accurate layouts, and safe outdoor work on active sites.

Responsibilities

  • Strip and remove forms after concrete sets; prep for reuse.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely; maintain a clean site.

Concrete Form Carpenter Pay: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Type: Full-Time Work Environment: Construction Sites / Outdoor Work Classification: Safety-Sensitive Position

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Concrete Form Carpenter to build, install, brace, and remove concrete forms for commercial and industrial concrete pours. This is a hands-on construction position for someone who understands basic carpentry, measurements, elevations, and the importance of building strong, accurate forms. The ideal candidate can read a tape measure, work from layouts or instructions, and produce quality work while maintaining a safe and organized jobsite. Pay will range from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s concrete formwork experience, carpentry skills, and overall qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Build wood or metal forms for concrete footings, walls, slabs, columns, curbs, and other structures
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install formwork according to project specifications
  • Use lumber, plywood, stakes, braces, ties, and other materials to construct secure forms
  • Set forms to the correct dimensions, elevations, and alignment
  • Square, level, plumb, and properly brace forms before concrete is poured
  • Install block-outs, bulkheads, embeds, and other form components as directed
  • Assist with placing and securing reinforcing materials when needed
  • Inspect forms before concrete pours to ensure they are stable and properly constructed
  • Make adjustments during concrete pours when instructed by the supervisor
  • Strip and remove forms after the concrete has properly set
  • Clean, organize, and prepare form materials for reuse
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
  • Follow all company, client, and OSHA safety procedures
  • Perform additional construction-related duties as assigned
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Previous experience with concrete formwork, rough carpentry, or commercial construction
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure
  • Ability to use a speed square, chalk line, level, hammer, and other basic carpentry tools
  • Understanding of basic construction measurements and layout
  • Ability to build straight, square, level, and properly braced forms
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and jobsite safety
  • Dependable transportation to assigned jobsites
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew
Required Tools and PPE

Candidates must have and bring their own basic carpentry tools, including:

  • Tool belt
  • Speed square
  • Hammers
  • Chalk lines
  • Tape measure
  • Utility knife
  • Pencils or construction markers

Candidates must also have full jobsite PPE, including:

  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses
  • High-visibility vest or shirt
  • Work gloves
  • Steel-toe or safety-toe work boots
  • Hearing protection when required
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials
  • Lift up to approximately 50 pounds without assistance
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, squat, and reach throughout the workday
  • Work on uneven ground and active construction sites
  • Work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, and other changing weather conditions
  • Safely perform physically demanding work for the duration of the shift
Drug Screening and Background Requirements

This is a safety-sensitive position. All selected candidates must successfully complete a 12-panel drug screen with negative results before beginning work. This opportunity is felon-friendly, and qualified applicants with prior criminal histories may be considered on a case-by-case basis. However:

  • Candidates with active or pending criminal charges will not be eligible
  • Registered sex offenders or candidates with disqualifying sexual offenses will not be eligible
  • All background information will be reviewed in accordance with applicable laws and client requirements
