Job summary

Skillit in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a qualified Carpenter to build, set and strip concrete formwork under a foreman. You’ll work on footing, wall, column, deck and slab-on-grade forms, including tilt-up/precast form prep and structural carpentry.

You will read construction drawings, use hand and power tools, maintain a clean, safe jobsite, and participate in site safety trainings with opportunities to advance with hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years concrete formwork or carpentry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.
• Willingness to complete OSHA-10 safety training.

Responsibilities

• Build, set, brace and strip footing, wall, column, deck and slab-on-grade forms.
• Construct, erect and repair form structures using hand and power tools.
• Read construction drawings and site layout to place forms accurately.
• Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe work area; follow foreman directions.
