Job summary

Turner Construction Company in the United States is seeking a skilled concrete and carpentry tradesperson to perform formwork, concrete placement, and finishing on structural and paving projects at the Springfield site. The role requires reading blueprints, setting grades, and coordinating with trade teams to meet project specs.

You will build and remove formwork, install rebar and embeds, handle finishing tools, and uphold Turner safety standards while working on site with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of concrete and carpentry experience.
• Skilled in concrete placing and finishing for walls, columns, slabs, and paving.
• Proficient use of carpentry tools (e.g., circular saws, squares, tape measure, hammer).
• Proficient use of finishing tools (e.g., vibrators, hand trowels, trowel machine, bull floats, hand floats, straightedges, edger, hand level).
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specs, and schedules to determine dimensions and materials.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches and plans to determine dimensions and materials.
• Construct and remove formwork for structural, tilt up, and paving concrete.
• Establish grades and elevations using builder’s level.
• Install rebar, embeds, and accessories as required.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE; operate site equipment.
• Maintain positive relations with customers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.
