Qualifications

• Using mathematics to solve problems.
• Ability to accurately measure lengths with ruler or tape.
• Basic blueprint reading.
• Safe use of power tools such as saws, drills, planes, sanders, routers and grinders.
• Basic understanding and use of a builders level for setting grades.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install concrete forms; building frameworks; wood stairways, window and door frames.
• Measure and mark lines on materials, using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level.
• Assemble and fasten materials to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
