Job summary

B in Springfield is seeking a Commercial Concrete Carpenter to perform forms, pours, placements, and finishes on concrete structures in commercial settings. You will read drawings, set elevations, and assist with concrete placement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include erecting forms, verifying accuracy with levels and lasers, and coordinating with foremen and project managers to address issues and ensure timely, safe site operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and prints.
• Build and/or assemble wood or metal forms for concrete floors, slabs, walls, columns, tilt-walls, etc.
• Set and place forms to proper elevations and locations; may aid in installing reinforcing steel.
• Set and erect forms using a wide variety of materials and forming systems, primarily symon forms.
• Verify accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser and/or digital transit.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Communicate with Foreman, Riding Boss, or Project Manager regarding problems, materials, or safety hazards.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
• May help signal concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring.
• Observe and comply with safety policies and guidelines.
• Assist with placement of concrete as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
