Responsibilities include interpreting plans, managing resources, and driving project plans with the Project Manager. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success in this full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in overseeing large-scale pipeline projects
• Strong knowledge of concrete installation techniques, equipment, and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office programs

Responsibilities

• Supervise all phases of concrete installation, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedules
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and resolve issues
• Interpret and apply concrete principles such as mix designs, curing, formwork, and finishing; monitor compliance with specs and safety
• Interpret project schedule and communicate changes effectively
• Understand and manage project budget and control field costs
• Teach and train foreman and crew leaders at lower levels
• Develop project plan with Project Manager and drive milestones
• Provide day-to-day on-site direction and ensure teams have resources to meet goals
• Manage change orders and project adjustments throughout the course of the project

Southland Holdings is accepting resumes for highly motivated professionals to join our team as a Concrete Superintendent in El Paso, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all phases of concrete installation, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedules
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain workflow and resolve issues
• Must understand basic concrete principles such as concrete mix designs, admixtures, curing, cold and hot weather procedures for concrete placing and finishing, formwork systems, as well as concrete calculations for pours. Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety regulations
• Must be able to interpret and act off the project schedule and effectively communicate changes as they arise
• Must be able to understand a budget and control field cost in accordance with the budget
• Must be able to affectively teach and train foreman and crew leaders at lower levels
• Develops project plan along with Project Manager and drives project milestones
• Provides day-to-day direction on-site to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided with the resources and support that enables the teams to reach their goals
• Ensure effective management changes occur throughout the course of the project
