Whitaker Construction is seeking a Concrete Finisher to ensure concrete surfaces meet high-quality standards. Responsibilities include setting forms, spreading and smoothing concrete, monitoring curing, and directing casting activities on Utah projects.

The role supports a safety-conscious crew in a well-established ESOP company with a broad Utah footprint, performing diverse heavy civil and underground utilities work through multiple states. Strong team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; vocational training strongly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Must be able to work safely around equipment and co-workers.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them.
• Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, trowel, screed, and float.
• Monitor curing processes and adjust conditions as needed.
• Direct casting of concrete and supervise laborers.
