Job summary

Team Fishel is seeking concrete finishers for its Natural Gas business in the Rochester, Pennsylvania office. The role involves installing, leveling and finish concrete surfaces behind gas utility crews, using hand and power tools with a strong emphasis on safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow instructions.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, dig, and reach.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and place heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license required with clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Valid CDL - Class A or B driver's license a plus, but not required.
• American Concrete Institute Flatwork Certification a plus, but not required.
• 18 years old with High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them.
• Able to survey grid line elevations.
• Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed and secure.
• Place concrete material using a concrete rake, flat end shovel and/or hand float.
• Ability to form and finish concrete to grade.
• Handle physically demanding construction duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensure regulatory needs and safety measures are maintained.
• Managing the expectations of the Customer at all times.

Team Fishel , the BestChoice for Utility Construction and Network Installation, is seeking great Concrete Finishers for our Natural Gasbusiness in the Rochester, Pennsylvaniaoffice. This skilled labor position supports our gas utilityconstruction crews with hard surface restoration behind those crews.

Concrete Finisher/Laborer Teammates will beresponsible for installing, leveling and finishing concrete surfaces of pouredconcrete, such as sidewalks, aprons, handicap ramps, roads, and/or curbs usinga variety of hand and power tools and will possess the ability to do finishingwork at a high level of perfection, and an even higher focus on safety.Starting pay range for this position is $18 - $30/hour and will be commensuratewith skills, qualifications, and experience.

• Preparation,facilitation of concrete placement, and finishing
• Needs pouring and finishing knowledge with proficiency introwel, broom, and hand finish
• Needs to have understanding of daily concrete operations withability to work independently
• Ability to determine types of tools and equipment needed onjobs
• Ability to use logic and createalternative solutions and approaches to problem solving
