Job summary

Southland Holdings is seeking a Concrete Finisher to build rough wooden structures including concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary frame shelters. The role requires reading form drawings, tying rebar, and pouring/finishing concrete with attention to accuracy and quality.

Candidates should have extensive carpentry/form setting experience, the ability to read plans, and strong teamwork and safety focus.

Qualifications

• 5 years as a Concrete Finisher
• 5+ years of carpentry/form setting experience within the construction industry
• Ability to finish concrete to grade and straight edged
• Ability to read and understand rebar plans
• Able to survey grid-lines and elevation
• Know all proper signals for crane work
• Be able to work with metric, feet, and hundredths measurements

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and plywood forms
• Set up forms, tie rebar, and pour/finish concrete
• Read rebar and form drawings to ensure accuracy
• Read and follow plans and specifications
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for work above ground
• Maintain safety rules at all times
