Qualifications

• Ability to read tape measures.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in construction or repair of structures, highways, or roads.
• Judges distances and slopes accurately.
• Knowledge of construction specifications.
• Knowledge of machines and tools.

Responsibilities

• Signals concrete deliverer to position truck for pouring.
• Moves discharge chute to direct concrete into forms.
• Spreads concrete into inaccessible sections of forms using rake or shovel.
• Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency using screed and floats.
• Smoothes and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete using trowel, float or power screed.
• Finishes concrete surfaces using power trowel or rubbing with abrasive stone to achieve finish.
• Removes rough spots from concrete surfaces using grinder or chisel and patches holes with concrete or epoxy.
• Molds expansion joints and edges with edging tools.
• Performs other duties as required and adheres to safety policies.
