Florida Coastal Paving is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our field crew. The role concentrates on placing, finishing, and repairing concrete for commercial paving and sitework projects across Florida.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with concrete flatwork, strong finishing techniques, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Safety-minded, dependable, and quality-focused candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Experience with sidewalks, curbs, ramps, slabs, and other concrete flatwork preferred.
• Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, curing, grading and proper tool use.

Responsibilities

• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete according to project specifications and elevations.
• Perform concrete flatwork including sidewalks, curbs, ramps, slabs, and other site concrete.
• Use hand and power tools including floats, trowels, edgers, screeds, saws, and finishing equipment.
• Set and check grades, elevations, slopes, and forms to ensure proper placement and drainage.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using finishing techniques.
• Apply broom, trowel, edging, and other finishes as required.
• Assist with concrete form setting, stripping, and preparation as needed.
• Install and finish ADA-compliant sidewalks, ramps, and detectable warning areas.

Florida Coastal Paving is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing construction team. This position is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete for a variety of commercial paving and sitework projects throughout Florida.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with concrete flatwork, understands proper finishing techniques, and takes pride in producing safe, durable, high‑quality work. This is a field‑based position requiring the ability to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions and adapt to changing project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Place, spread, level, and finish concrete according to project specifications and required elevations.
• Perform concrete flatwork including sidewalks, curbs, gutters, ramps, pads, slabs, and other site concrete.
• Use hand and power tools including floats, trowels, edgers, screeds, saws, and finishing equipment.
• Set and check grades, elevations, slopes, and forms to ensure proper placement and drainage.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using appropriate finishing techniques.
• Apply broom, trowel, edging, and other specified finishes.
• Assist with concrete form setting, stripping, and preparation as needed.
• Install and finish ADA‑compliant sidewalks, ramps, and detectable warning areas according to project requirements.
• Cut expansion and control joints as required.
• Identify and correct imperfections or deficiencies before concrete fully cures.
• Perform concrete repairs, patching, and removal when necessary.
• Assist with site preparation, demolition, cleanup, and other general construction activities as needed.
• Safely operate and maintain concrete finishing tools and equipment.
• Work closely with Foremen, Project Managers, equipment operators, laborers, and other crew members.
• Follow all company safety policies, jobsite procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred, particularly in commercial construction, paving, or sitework.
• Experience with sidewalks, curbs, ramps, slabs, and other concrete flatwork strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, curing, grading, and proper tool use.
• Ability to read grades and understand basic construction plans and specifications is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, and working for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
• Ability to work early mornings, extended hours, nights, and weekends when project schedules require.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively as part of a construction crew.
