An estimator will participate in all aspects of the bid/estimating process, including reviewing plans and specs, quantifying take-offs, pricing, scoping, and budgeting.

1. Provide estimating support for projects
2. Perform and quantify take-offs
3. Assist in bidding construction projects
4. Communicate with general contractors and project managers to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements
5. Participate in the internal estimate review process
6. Help manage project budgets and costs
7. Assist with scheduling production
8. Review client contracts
9. Coordinate and provide information and documents for field managers

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years estimating experience
• Proficient in using on-screen TakeOff (OST) or other TakeOff software
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• General knowledge of construction principles and processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Technical Skills

• Experience with bidding tools such as On Screen Take-Off or other TakeOff software
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Project, and Excel
• Understanding of budgeting dynamics
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment to achieve goals
