Rusin Concrete is seeking a Commercial Estimator in Colorado Springs to prepare, evaluate, and submit concrete proposals for new projects. You will work closely with the Preconstruction Manager, communicating with clients, vendors, and team members to grow the business.

The role requires analyzing plans and specs, performing takeoffs with ProEst, and developing accurate pricing. Office-based with some site visits, it offers a base salary plus bonus, PTO, health and 401(k) benefits.

Qualifications

• Preferred degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 3+ years of estimating or preconstruction experience.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, review, and organize bidding documents for residential projects.
• Interpret project plans and specs to prepare accurate estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork, and related materials using ProEst.
• Develop unit pricing considering scope, location, labor, materials and overhead.
• Incorporate subcontractor and vendor quotes; align with bid requirements.
• Draft clarifications and bid qualifications for each proposal.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams to gather information.
• Review historical cost data to improve accuracy and competitiveness.
• Prepare detailed estimate packages for project handoff to management and field operations.
• Coordinate reviews and ensure timely bid approvals.
