Job summary

The Estimator position at Lyman-Richey Corporation, a CRH Company, is based in Omaha, Nebraska. You will prepare material quantities, equipment and man-hour estimates from plans, specs, and online sources, building project budgets for management review.

Responsibilities include takeoffs of concrete, aggregate and related materials, preparing quotes for bidding, and maintaining project records while supporting the Technical Services Manager with documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ACI Grade 1 Certification preferred (or the ability to obtain).
• Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete, aggregate and related material takeoffs from plans and specifications.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to take notes and relay information to appropriate departments.
• Identify concrete, aggregates, and related materials within project specifications.
• Prepare verbal/written quotations of concrete and related materials for bidding.
• Input quotes and project information into company systems.
• Track quoted projects and assist with scheduling and follow-up.
