Job summary

Metromont is seeking a Dry Finisher to join our team in Florida. The role involves finishing cured concrete to project specifications, with opportunities to setup and move product using overhead equipment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in construction, can read basic measurements, and work well in a team while following safety rules. Outdoor work and overtime may be required based on workload.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of general construction experience preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure.
• Able to use standard construction tools.
• Experience with finishing, patching, sandblasting, or acid washing concrete preferred.
• Able to work on a team and follow verbal instructions.
• Values and demonstrates safe working behaviors.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and waste disposal throughout the shift.
• Collect and prepare materials as needed.
• Assist with stripping product from forms as needed.
• Read blueprints or shop tickets to identify finish types (where applicable).
• Use grinding or patching to repair product.
• Clean plates, openings, and block-outs.
• Move product with rigging and cranes (where applicable).
• Assist with sandblasting and acid washing as needed.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and hand tools.
• Read shop tickets to determine dunnage usage (where applicable).
• Adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules.
