Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking a Dry Finisher to join a team finishing cured concrete according to product specifications. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, using finishes, and adhering to Metromont and OSHA safety rules.

Typical duties include material handling, form stripping, rigging setup, and operation of cranes and grinders. Outdoor, weather-exposed environment with a Monday–Friday schedule and possible overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-2 years of general construction experience preferred
• Able to read a tape measure
• Able to use standard construction tools
• Able to operate a Boom Crane (where applicable)
• Experience with finishing, patching, sandblasting, or acid washing concrete

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and waste disposal throughout the shift.
• Collect and prepare materials as needed.
• Assist with stripping product from forms as needed.
• Read blueprints or shop tickets to identify finish types.
• Use grinding or patching to repair product.
• Clean plates, openings, and block-outs.
• Set up, use, and remove rigging to move product.
• Remove product from form and place on trailer using overhead crane.
• Assist with sandblasting and acid washing as needed.
• Operate hoists, overhead cranes, hand and power tools.
• Read shop tickets to determine dunnage usage and placement.
• Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.

The Dry Finisher works as a member of a team to finish cured concrete according to product specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and prepare materials as needed.
• Assist with stripping product from forms as needed.
• Read blueprints or shop tickets to identify finish types. (where applicable)
• Use various techniques such as grinding or patching to repair product.
• Clean plates, openings, and block-outs.
• Set up, use, and remove rigging to move product.
• Remove product from form and place on trailer using overhead crane. (where applicable)
• Assist with sandblasting and acid washing as needed.

CHARACTERISTICS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• 1-2 years of previous general construction experience preferred
• Able to read a tape measure preferred
• Able to use standard construction tools preferred
• Able to operate a Boom Crane (where applicable)
• Experience with finishing, patching, sandblasting, or acid washing concrete and/or working with stucco preferred
• Able to work on a team

WORK ENVIRONMENT / SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday
• Schedule varies with workload and location
• Outdoor/sheltered
• Work area is not climate controlled and may be exposed to changing weather and temperature conditions
• Unscheduled overtime may be required depending on business needs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires standing for long periods of time, frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and bending, repetitive motion with medium force, and an ability to frequently climb up to 3 feet above ground using stairs.
