Job summary

Graniterock is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate concrete mixer truck scheduling and ensure timely delivery of products. You will process paperwork tied to dispatch and align with safety initiatives, promoting “Safety Before All Else.”

Responsibilities include reviewing orders for material needs, collaborating with branches for resource sharing, and communicating with customers across BCMI and phones to maintain high service levels. Weekend/overtime availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in business or related field desired.
• 2-3 years logistics, dispatch or construction transportation experience preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends and overtime.
• Experience using a computerized dispatching system preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch concrete mixer trucks to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with other concrete branches to optimize truck resource sharing.
• Respond to customer requests across BCMI and phone to maintain high service levels.
• Review orders before shipping to confirm material needs, including mix designs/additives, delivery time, and jobsite details.
• Attend daily production review meetings to discuss same-day and future production highlights.

Job description

Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for dispatching concrete mixer trucks and processing all necessary paperwork associated with concrete dispatch and working in alignment with Graniterock’s Strategic Priorities and business objectives.

Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure “Safety Before All Else.”

Schedule and dispatch concrete mixer trucks to ensure on-time delivery of concrete products. Collaborate with other concrete branches to support mixer truck resource sharing efficiency.

Respond to customer requests in a timely manner, over multiple communication platforms (BCMI / phones) to ensure service is met at a high level.

Review orders, prior to shipping, to confirm material needs are identified and understood. This includes mix designs / additives / delivery time / jobsite location / specialty details.

Actively participate in a daily meeting to review and recap same day & future production highlights.

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate’s degree in business or related field desired
• Some related driving/construction/dispatch experience preferred.
• 2-3 years logistics, dispatch or construction transportation experience preferred

Salary will be determined based on the individual’s knowledge, skills and experience. Ranges are aligned with market data and/or collective bargaining agreement rates.
