Job summary

Ashton Sawing & Drilling in Houston is seeking a Concrete Cutting Trainee with 2–3 years of experience to operate slab, wall, wire saws and core drills and to develop skills alongside seasoned professionals.

You will participate in safety meetings, follow project instructions, and maintain equipment and vehicles. The role emphasizes dependability, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality work while supporting team efforts on varied projects.

Qualifications

• Experience operating concrete cutting equipment
• Thorough knowledge of concrete cutting equipment
• Minimum age of 18
• Proof of identity and employment authorization
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete cutting equipment including slab saws, wall saws, wire saws, and core drills
• Perform equipment checks before use to ensure functionality and safety
• Keep equipment clean and ensure it is safely and securely stored when not in use
• Attend project kickoffs, weekly check-ins, safety meetings, and other team meetings
• Work safely and effectively alongside other Operators and Helpers to complete concrete cutting and removal projects
• Follow job-specific instructions and maintain Ashton’s standards for safety, quality, and professionalism
