Job summary

Methuen Construction in Portland, ME is seeking a Concrete Carpenter to support prefabrication, assembly, and installation across water, federal and renewable projects. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Foreman.

The role involves forming systems, set screws, erection of framing, drywall, doors, windows, and finishes, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Candidates should have at least 5 years in construction and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prefabricate forms for concrete footings, walls, columns, and slabs.
• Assemble prefabricated forming systems.
• Set screeds, chamfer, and rustication strips in formwork.
• Erection and assembly of wood framing, blocking, nailers, and related components.
• Install finished molding, beads, trim, cabinets, and counters.
• Install doors and finished hardware.
• Install drywall and associated metal framing.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging for all trades.
• Install insulation, acoustical tile ceilings, and exterior siding.
