Job summary

Absolute Concrete, LLC is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our concrete construction team. You will perform accurate layout and measurements, form and frame concrete structures, and install anchor bolts and embeds per project plans.

A strong attention to detail and the ability to read drawings are essential. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, measuring elevations, and collaborating with crews to ensure precise placement and quality.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our concrete construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for
accurate layout and measurements, forming and framing concrete structures, and setting anchor bolts and embeds according to project plans and specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read construction drawings, and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately measure, layout, and establish elevations and dimensions from construction plans.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, specifications, and project details.
  • Build, assemble, and install concrete forms, wood framing, and related structures.
  • Perform precise layout for walls, footings, slabs, columns, piers, and other concrete structures.
  • Set and verify anchor bolts, embeds, sleeves, and other cast-in-place items to required locations, elevations, and tolerances.
  • Double-check measurements, dimensions, elevations, and bolt settings before concrete placement.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Modify, repair, and strip concrete forms as required.
  • Coordinate with concrete crews, project supervisors, and other trades to ensure proper placement and sequencing.
  • Identify discrepancies between field conditions and drawings and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and project-specific safety procedures.
  • Perform other carpentry and concrete-forming duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in concrete forming, commercial construction, or general carpentry preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
  • Experience with layout, elevations, levels, and dimensions.
  • Experience setting anchor bolts and embedded items is highly preferred.
  • Ability to operate common
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED; or up to one-month related experience in concrete finishing or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of using tape measures and level.
  • Knowledge of industry and equipment.
CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Valid drivers’ license (Highly Preferred).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage; and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds.
