Position Details

Part Time: Friday evenings and every-other weekend day shift.

The Concierge serves as the front-of-house for all external stakeholders and guests. As the first point of contact, a courteous, professional manner and appearance are essential for good public relations. The main objective is to assist the Community Leadership Team in ensuring smooth administrative operations.

Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Prior experience working with the public preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Comfortable with a multi-line telephone system, answering, taking messages, and transferring calls.
  • Good physical and mental health; PPD screening required.
  • Interest in people, especially the geriatric population.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Use tact and courtesy when dealing with staff, residents, families, and visitors.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of management and outside contacts.
  • Willingness to perform non-professional duties.
  • Level-headedness in emergencies and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Enthusiasm and cooperative spirit.
  • Attendance at all mandatory meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Receive guests and visitors, having them sign in.
  • Assist visitors in locating resident rooms.
  • Answer phones, take messages, respond to requests, and forward information.
  • Announce appointments and arrivals to staff.
  • Type memos, reports, and correspondence.
  • Sort and distribute mail as requested.
  • Create a warm and positive environment.
  • Protect resident confidentiality and rights.
  • Provide community information and tours to prospective residents and families.
  • Maintain admission and information packets.
  • Keep the front desk and lobby organized.
  • Perform duties assigned by the Business Office Manager or Executive Director.
  • Other duties as assigned.
