Job summary

BECU is hiring a part-time Concierge to greet members, guide them through their financial journey, and connect them with the right resources and teams. You’ll be the first friendly face, helping members feel valued from the moment they walk in.

The role features an ongoing part-time schedule averaging 24 hours per week, with fixed shifts and some added shifts. Training occurs at Tukwila and Issaquah centers, including travel during the onboarding period.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales oriented, financial or retail customer service environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Spanish language fluency is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome Members with warmth and provide courteous, professional service.
• Streamline branch traffic by connecting members to the right teams.
• Coordinate appointments for location staff to ensure seamless service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting member area.
• Educate members on BECU’s remote services and tools to promote financial independence.

PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $21.78-$26.63 hourly. The full Pay Range is $21.65-$31.44 hourly. hourly.

You’ll skillfully guide members through their financial journey by connecting them to the right resources, services, and solutions. Your proactive approach, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for helping others will ensure members feel supported and valued from the moment they walk through the door.

Compensation Transparency

We believe in fair and equitable pay for all employees. The listed pay ranges reflect our commitment to both internal equity and market competitiveness:

• Concierge: $22.75 – $23.00 per hour

Offers are made within this range, taking into account experience, skills, and alignment with internal team compensation. Please note that starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.

Travel Expectations

• Training will take place at our Tukwila Financial Center as well as our Issaquah Neighborhood Financial Center
• Commitment and ability to commute to Tukwila and Issaquah is required

Training Period (First 3 Months)

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Travel to our Tukwila Financial Center will be required during training

Ongoing Part-Time Schedule (Average 24 Hours per Week)

• Two fixed shifts each week:
  • Tuesday: 8:30 AM to 6:15 PM
  • Thursday: 8:30 AM to 6:15 PM
• One additional shift each week:
  • Monday, approximately 8:30 AM to 2:30/2:45 PM or
  • Saturday, 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM
• Saturday shifts rotate with another Part-Time Concierge and are not scheduled every week

What You’ll Do

• Welcome Members with Warmth: Greet every member with prompt, courteous, and professional service, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
• Streamline Branch Traffic: Actively manage member flow by connecting them to the appropriate team members for their needs.
• Coordinate Appointments: Schedule and track appointments for location staff to ensure seamless member service.
• Maintain a Member-Friendly Environment: Keep member areas clean, organized, and well-stocked, ensuring a functional and inviting space.
• Empower Members with Tools: Demonstrate and educate members on BECU’s suite of remote services and access tools, enhancing their financial independence.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or associated certification (GED).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in sales oriented, financial or retail customer service environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Spanish language fluency highly desirable.
• Proficient PC skills and the ability to learn new software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions.
• Ability to work a shifting/flexible schedule, including Saturday's
• Capacity to sit or stand for periods of up to one hour or more.
