Job summary

Community Healthcare and Wellness is seeking a flexible Medical Assistant to join our small, patient-centered practice. You will perform medical assisting duties, including phlebotomy, and support rooming patients, vital signs, and immunizations.

You will maintain clean exam spaces, manage inventory, and document in the EMR (Athena) with accuracy. A CMA/RMA is preferred, and strong communication is essential in our close-knit practice.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Athena.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs.
• Perform screening tests.
• Draw blood and collect other lab specimens (phlebotomy required).
• Administer immunizations and medications as directed.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and supply inventory.
• Accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Manage medical records and patient correspondence.
