Job summary

Tidewater Family Practice PC in Virginia Beach is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. We are willing to train a recent MA graduate, or a CNA with experience in phlebotomy and vitals, or a phlebotomist with experience.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous experience. We are a Family/Geriatric practice focusing on the well being of the seniors in our community.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification or CMA preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient visits including documentation in the EMR and drawing blood as needed.
• Clean exam rooms, instruments and equipment after use.
• Answer phones and address medical questions, identify visit needs.
• Assist doctor and NP with basic medical care and procedures.
• Track lab results, send prescriptions, and perform basic office duties.

Job Summary

We are in immediate need of a Medical Assistant to join our team! We are willing to train a recent MA graduate, or CNA with experience in phlebotomy and vitals, or a phlebotomist with experience. The ideal candidate has strong clinical skills, an interest in learning more about a working medical environment, and has previous experience. We are a Family/Geriatric practice focusing on the well being of the seniors in our community. We need a person that is positive, friendly, and caring. Must be able to work a schedule from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday thru Thursday. Our office is closed on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for the patient visit, including documentation in the EMR, as well as drawing blood and performing testing as needed for the visit.
• Clean exam rooms, instruments and equipment after use
• Answer phones and field questions about medical issues, identifying visit needs
• Assist doctor and N.P. with basic medical care and procedures
• Track lab results, send in prescriptions, and handle basic medical office duties

Qualifications

• BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired
