Job summary

Access Healthcare in Charleston, SC is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our Concierge Primary Care and Urgent Care team. This full-time role involves assisting with examinations and procedures, performing clinical tasks, and supporting patients through referrals and prescriptions.

The ideal candidate will have prior Patient Care Tech experience, a compassionate bedside manner, and a willingness to grow toward advanced degrees after a year with the practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments in concierge primary and urgent care.
• Perform clinical duties: vital signs, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms, restock supplies, and ensure cleanliness.
• Document patient histories and clinical notes in EMR accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow for efficient care delivery and follow-up communication.
