Job summary

Red Tail Residential is seeking a Concierge at our Arrive Wheaton location to provide exceptional resident and guest service, manage daily duties, and help foster a welcoming community. This part-time, non-exempt role requires strong communication, multitasking, and a professional appearance, with a pay rate of $18 per hour and company-paid health insurance for employees.

Responsibilities include greeting residents, handling packages, maintaining common areas, and supporting the property

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and write English fluently; perform intermediate math.
• Experience in customer service or concierge roles preferred.
• Proficiency with basic on-site property management software.

The Concierge plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community among residents and guests. As a Concierge, you will be responsible for providing superior customer service to our residents, allowing us to deliver on our resident commitments of exceptional move-in, total satisfaction, express service, and personal attention. Each day will be unique, requiring an ability to prioritize, multitask, think creatively, take initiative, and employ a diverse set of skills. A Concierge brings positive energy to each conversation, resolves any apartment concerns quickly and effectively, and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciative.

• Provide superior customer service.
• Communicate effectively with community members, guests, visitors, and team members.

• Serve as a role-model by following all policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all work has been completed in a prompt and professional manner.
• Clerical and phone support
• Remove trash from lobby, amenity areas, and other community spaces daily.
• Assist community team and/or perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintain a calendar of scheduled move-ins and move-outs, ensuring all freight elevator reservations are up to date.
• Demonstrate ability to resolve resident complaints and direct pertinent issues and matters to the community leadership.
• Management of incoming and outgoing packages for all carriers
• Additional tasks or duties assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Demands

• The team member will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands. The employee may occasionally be required to climb. Specific vision requirements include the ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will be required to walk for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends as needed.

Attendance/Travel

• This position is a part-time position and may require the availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays. Regular attendance and active participation/planning at company functions and events.

Essential Functions

• Demonstrate ability to perform skills for communicating with residents, team members, and management.
• Demonstrate ability to contribute to a team approach of serving residents and maintaining a successful community.

• Remove trash from office areas and apartment buildings daily.
• Maintain resident coffee and refreshment stations.
• Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or Community Managers

Qualifications

Computer Skills

• Intermediate computer and internet knowledge
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Learning And Development

Education

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Ability to fluently read and write English, accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions, and use all on-site resident management software functions.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of one year as a Leasing Consultant or Concierge in the Multi-Family Industry or related field. One year of experience in the service industry is preferred.
