Job summary

Remington Hotels in Anchorage is seeking a front desk/guest services team member to manage cash handling and guest transactions on site. You will ensure accurate payments, maintain the MICROS system, and participate in floor planning and side-work assignments at the host stand.

The role requires strong communication, a high work ethic, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and assume responsibility for cash bank.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, quickly and responsibly.
• Control guest checks to prevent loss or misstatement; collect payment.
• Count and give correct change; ensure accuracy in money transactions.
• Check MICROS/ register setup and stay knowledgeable about the system.
• Fill out floor plan and assign side work; post on host stand.

What you will be doing

• Obtainand assume responsibility for cash bank. Handle cash transactions accurately, quickly, carefully and responsibly.
• Controlguest checks to prevent loss, theft or mishandling. Follow proper procedures with regard to check issuance and control. Collect payment from guest/server. Accurately and efficiently count and give change to guest/server. Ensure correct amount of cash is given on money transactions.
• CheckMICROS machines to make sure they are set up to the proper menu. Have complete knowledge of MICROS system (or register).
• Fillout floor plan by checking station rotation chart. Assign side work schedule on floor plan. Post floor plan at host stand.
