Position Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for overseeing various Concessions bars, stands and portable food & beverage locations. The Concessions Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The Concessions Supervisor will assist the Concessions Managers and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training, inventory and special events.

The Concessions Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Position Details:

  • Part-time position
  • Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays

This role will pay an hourly wage of $18 to $22.

Designed specifically for concerts, the new arena is home to The University of Texas Women’s and Men’s basketball games, family shows, and other sporting and community events. Responsibilities
  • Set-up of all concessions locations prior to start of event, which includes: verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers (employee/volunteer), ensuring sanitation standards are met, checking food and beverage production meets projected event needs.
  • Requisitions and stocks all food and beverage products and supplies needed for assigned locations.
  • Train and coach new & current employees on standard operation procedures in the concessions area.
  • Provide back-up to any open position to ensure the concession location is fully operational. Ensures that company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.
  • Ensure the work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents. Relays safety/health issues to management immediately.
  • Provide on-going constructive feedback to concessions staff and volunteers.
  • Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained, escalating to management or security when needed.
  • Responsible for assisting guests with their concessions transactions via our Point of Sales system.
  • Lock up and store all beverage products, food, equipment items, and performs all closing duties at the end of shift.
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures.
  • Assists Management team with projects including training, inventory and special events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The qualifications listed below represent the credentials necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. To be successful in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food & beverage environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain valid food handling certificate and TABC certificate prior to working at Moody Center.
  • Ability to accurately handle register and revenue collections through POS system is required.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required. Shifts can have a duration of up to 10 hours as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, push, reach, and lift upwards of 50lbs of materials during stocking.
