Job summary

The Concessions Supervisor at Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto, CA is responsible for ensuring smooth patron service, safety, and overall experience at all events. This role assists the Concession Manager with operations, sales, and training the Volunteer Usher Corps to deliver a professional, welcoming, and safe experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in restaurant or concession service, hospitality, or performance environments preferred.
• Prior experience in emergency procedures, crowd management, or related safety training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Train volunteer ushers in cooperation with the Audience Experience Manager and Concession Manager.
• Ensure adequate usher coverage for working zones during events.
• Prepare all working zones for performance needs pre and post events.
• Train and implement safety and evacuation procedures.
• Create a positive environment and promote teamwork within the usher corps.
• Maintain cash handling procedures including register reconciliation.
• Provide show notes and feedback for each performance to managers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of concession spaces and inventory.
