Role Summary

We are seeking a Concessions Manager to lead the team and logistics of our concessions operations at the Comerica Center. This position will be responsible for supervising day-to-day planning and event day execution of all concessions area 3rdparty partners. The ideal candidate has experience in events and concessions operations and is a hands‑on leader with a focus on team development.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and effectively managing day-to-day duties to ensure that each event is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
  • Responsible for communication between Proof of the Pudding and the client. Serves as the first point of contact for all inquiries from the center. Responsible for nurturing this relationship.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; and maintaining security systems.
  • Supports venue financial objectives by tracking budget and expenditures and flagging variances.
  • Organizing frequent meetings and open lines of communication with sales, operations, concessions, and culinary team in preparation for each event.
  • Sets staff expectations for uniform, customer service, and workplace culture standards
  • Attending and executing each event to ensure that it runs smoothly from the set-up to the break-down.
  • Provides support for special off-site events as needed
  • Performs other related duties as necessary

Work Environment

The work environment for this position ranges daily. On average 20% of the typical job duties will include office work while 80% of the duties will be performed as the “boots on the ground” manager. The work environment will largely be in the warehouse, associated offices, and onsite at events.

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of standing, moving through a limited space, and walking on various surfaces

Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items

Must have ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs
