Responsibilities

  • Overseeing day-to-day duties to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Lead subcontract management for 3rd party vendors and concessions partners; contract negotiation, onboarding, and logistics coordination.
  • Own the subcontractor onboarding process: recruiting partners, credentialing, insurance, and site logistics communications.
  • Act as primary liaison between Proof of the Pudding and the client; be the first contact for inquiries.
  • Communicate vendor requirements (water, gas, footprint, etc.) to relevant departments.
  • Maintain sanitation, safety, and security standards; ensure regulatory compliance, revenue security, and systems.
  • Track budgets and expenditures; flag variances to support venue financial objectives.
  • Organize regular meetings with sales, operations, concessions, and culinary teams for each event.
  • Set staff expectations for uniform, customer service, and workplace culture; ensure smooth event execution.
  • Provide support for off-site events as needed.

Proof of the Pudding is a chef-led hospitality company delivering food and beverage experiences at some of North America’s most complex sports, entertainment, cultural, and live-event venues. Founded in Atlanta in 1979, Proof has built a national reputation for doing hospitality differently — from-scratch cooking at scale, hyper-local sourcing, and a partnership-first approach that treats clients as collaborators, not contracts. The company serves professional and collegiate sports venues, convention centers, cultural institutions, and large-scale destination events across the United States and Internationally.

We are seeking a Concessions Manager to lead the team and logistics of our concessions operations at Circuit of the Americas. This position will be responsible for supervising day-to-day planning and event day execution of all concessions area 3rd party partners. The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale concessions operations and is a hands-on leader with a focus on team development.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and effectively managing day-to-day duties to ensure that each event is executed flawlessly from start to finish.
  • Lead subcontract management for all 3rd party vendors and concessions partners – including contract negotiation, onboarding, compliance documentation, and day-to-day logistics coordination
  • Own the subcontractor onboarding process from start to finish, including recruiting new partners, coordinating credentialing and insurance requirements, and communicating site logistics (arrival, footprint, utilities) ahead of each event
  • Responsible for communication between Proof of the Pudding and the client. Serves as the first point of contact for all inquiries from the center. Responsible for nurturing this relationship.
  • Communicate vendor requirements (water, gas, footprint/size, etc.) to the relevant departments
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; and maintaining security systems.
  • Supports venue financial objectives by tracking budget and expenditures and flagging variances.
  • Organizing frequent meetings and open lines of communication with sales, operations, concessions, and culinary team in preparation for each event.
  • Sets staff expectations for uniform, customer service, and workplace culture standards
  • Attending and executing each event to ensure that it runs smoothly from the set-up to the break-down.
  • Provides support for special off-site events (golf outings, boat events, etc.) as needed
  • Performs other related duties as necessary
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in Hospitality, Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Food and Beverage Operations and/or concessions – experience in high volume stadiums or special events is strongly preferred.
  • Must live near or be willing to relocate to Austin, TX

Work Environment

The work environment for this position will be a variation of office work and event operations and movement. This position will often move throughout the stadiums. Events may take place in indoor or outdoor settings.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, moving throughout a kitchen and venue, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.

Position Salary & Benefits
  • This is considered a full-time position with a competitive starting salary range of $80,000- $85,000.
