Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a part-time Cook in a fast-paced concession stand environment in Waco, TX. You will prepare and package food to order, maintain quality and sanitation, and help ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include portion control, maintaining temperatures, and operating large cooking equipment. Prior prep/line cook experience is preferred and a HS diploma is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as prep cook or line cook preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and event-driven setting.
• Possess a valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Cook and package food prepared to order or kept warm for sale.
• Receive verbal orders from front counter staff for guest orders.
• Maintain quality and production standards for all menu items.
• Ensure food is fresh and served at proper temperatures.
• Control portions and maintain safe serving temperatures in the concession stand.
• Clean, stock, and restock workstations and displays.
• Operate large-volume cooking equipment (grills, fryers, ovens).
• Ensure cleanliness and proper storage of food and utensils; sweep/mop floors at shift end.
• Be checked out by Floor Supervisor to meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance as per company standards.
