This position is responsible for taking food orders, cashiering, preparing and cooking orders, serving food and beverages, performing prep work and stocking for the next shift/day, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the work area. All functions must be performed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as gaming regulations, including the NIGC Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), State Gaming Compact, and Tribal Internal Controls Standards (TICS), in line with the mission of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and OMDA.
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
Qualifications include prior customer service experience in demanding environments, excellent communication skills, and a neat, professional appearance. Education requirements are a high school diploma or GED, with at least six months of server experience preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include operational effectiveness, professionalism, teamwork, safety awareness, customer interaction, upselling skills, adherence to policies, and proficiency with POS systems and basic food and beverage equipment. Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime is necessary.
Additional requirements include providing valid work authorization documents, passing a drug test, and obtaining a gaming license from the Otoe Missouria Gaming Commission. The physical demands involve standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to various environmental conditions. The work environment may include exposure to smoke, extreme weather, and noise.
