Job description

Eastern Sports Management - Lawton is currently accepting applications for Concessions Attendant. The Concessions Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding guest service, receiving and processing payments, serving food and beverage items in a timely manner, as well as preparing and cooking food according to menu standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate cash register and Point of Sale (POS) System
• Engage with members and guests, including greeting customers
• Provide excellent service, build rapport with guests, and respond quickly to requests
• Upsell food and beverage items
• Serve food and beverage items in a timely manner
• Open, close, clean, and maintain concessions areas
• Organize, stock, and control inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel (F&B Manager, Manager on Duty, etc.) and/or the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience, preferably in a high-volume setting; less than high school education; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions in English
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages, and make change in US currency
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate emotional situations
• Must be able to utilize the facility Point of Sale software upon hire and training
• This individual must be 18 years of age if the facility sells alcoholic beverages

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Food Handlers Certification (within 60 days of employment)

Work Environment:

The Concessions Attendant normally performs their duties in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
