Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a Restaurant Server for our venue in the downtown area. This part-time role offers flexible nights and weekends, with hourly pay plus tips and opportunities to upsell and delight guests.

The ideal candidate will deliver outstanding guest service, maintain a clean appearance, handle multiple tables, and comply with safety and alcohol service policies. Previous bar or server experience is a plus; willingness to work a fast-paced environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift.
• Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Follow opening, running, and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty.
• Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies.
• Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age.
• Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager.
• Cash handling; bank procedures and payment processing (POS) for cash and/or credit.
• Occasionally work special events scheduled within the venue.
• Know all menu items, music, promotions or events in the house.
• Inform guests of daily specials and suggest menu items.
• Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating needs and resolving issues.
• Pre-bus tables: remove dirty plates and glassware after guests finish.
