Job Summary
Position: COMSEC KMI Operating Account Manager (KOAM). Location: Cedar Rapids, IA. Onsite. Salary range: $86,800 - $165,200 USD.
Responsibilities
- Provide key support to multiple programs performing the production, manufacturing, and depot of COMSEC assets.
- Utilize KMI software to document accountability actions.
- Perform Device Registration Manager (DRM) or Device Local Type 1 Registration Authority (DLT1RA) roles and responsibilities.
- Perform KMI registration, initialization, and endorsements.
- Responsibly manage receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting, and destruction of COMSEC material.
- Process incoming and outgoing COMSEC shipments.
- Conduct regular inventories, compliance validations, incident reporting, and investigations as necessary.
- Track supersession dates, draft tracer actions, and submit accurate accounting reports.
- Manage fill devices and other COMSEC equipment, perform software upgrades to ECUs and secure telephone equipment.
- Provide on‑the‑job training to the COMSEC team, production staff, leaders, engineers, assemblers, and other COMSEC users on accountability, security, compliance, and local policy.
Qualifications
- University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship.
- KMI training certification.
- Active and transferable Top Secret security clearance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous NSA COMSEC certification.
- Security+ certification.
- Management of a COMSEC account in a production or depot environment.
- Experience with End Cryptographic Unit management and load/update procedures.
- Experience troubleshooting COMSEC equipment.
- Knowledge of legacy COMSEC equipment.
- Experience managing Windows‑based information systems.
