Job summary

TekSynap in the DMV area is seeking an experienced COMSEC/KMI Database Administrator to support the DoD/State COMSEC IT services contract. You will manage databases used by COMSEC and controlled-accountability systems and ensure data integrity and security.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in COMSEC operations, experience with government contracts, an active Top Secret clearance, Security+ DoD 8570 IAT Level II, and KMI certification. Onsite work Mon-Fri with potential after-hours as needed.

We are seeking

COMSEC/KMI Database Administrator

We are seeking COMSEC/KMI Database Administrator for the Department of State COMSEC IT Services contract.

The COMSEC/KMI Database Administrator will support database and data-management activities associated with COMSEC operations, secure communications, controlled-accountability systems, and Key Management Infrastructure.

Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in COMSEC operations, secure communications, and controlled-accountability systems
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications

• Security+ certification DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

AND

• KMI certification.

Clearance

• Active Top Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administer and support databases used by COMSEC and controlled-accountability systems.

• Assist with database backup, recovery, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.

• Develop and maintain database procedures and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with developers, systems integrators, cybersecurity personnel, and operations staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Location: DMV area
• Environment: Onsite in Office
• Noise level: Low
• Schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday - Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs
• Travel: Less than 10%

U.S. Citizenship

Active Top Secret clearance.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $120,000 - $170,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
