Awetomaton, Ltd. in Dayton, Ohio, seeks a Computer Vision Engineer to join a small team focused on remote sensing imagery.

You will develop and optimize computer vision and image processing algorithms to extract actionable insights from mission data, using Python, C++, and NVIDIA CUDA to accelerate performance. The role requires a BS degree with 3–7 years of experience, active Top Secret clearance, and work largely from Wright-Patterson AFB.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or related field; 3+ years in CV/image processing
• Experience with remote sensing imagery (EO/IR)
• Experience implementing CV algorithms (detection/segmentation/tracking/registration/feature extraction)
• 1+ year CUDA GPU programming experience; optimization of GPU computations
• Proficiency in Python with NumPy/SciPy/OpenCV
• Git-based software configuration management

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize computer vision algorithms for remote sensing data
• Accelerate computationally intensive algorithms using NVIDIA CUDA and GPUs
• Translate research ideas into reliable, maintainable software
• Collaborate with small team and communicate with stakeholders at WPAFB
